Boxes, Bags & Wrapping Up

Yesterday our driver, Tony, came with his crew to pick up our furniture & the 109 boxes the packing crew on Wednesday used to package our belongings (their pay is based upon how much material they use.) Our movers were very excited about the 3 1/2 flights of stairs up to our apartment! We were just grateful that we weren't the ones climbing those stairs! Our "cozy" apartment seems extremely spacious when it's empty!

Wednesday after the packing crew finished we headed downtown for a trip to the Sears Tower - Bill's first time! (We figured he had to go at least once before we moved.) Now we are at our temporary home of the Marriot Courtyard in Elmhurst until Bill's graduation festivities are completed on Sunday. Patrick tried out the pool for a little while last night before we all turned in for a good night's sleep. He's still a happy camper with all the changes going on in our lives (Thank You God for giving us such a well-tempered son with an easygoing personality!)

Today Patrick & I went to the tot lot a few blocks from our apartment one last time, sigh - I'm going to miss that park being so close. Tonight we met up with Bill's grandma, mom & Steve for dinner at the Cheesecake Factory in Oak Brook -- yummy! Tomorrow our Elantra is supposed to get picked up to be shipped to California & we start the Loyola Stritch School of Medicine graduation festivities with the honors convocation & baccalaureate mass.

I'm feeling exhausted after a busy week of preparations for our move & running after Patrick who has become quite the little walker & climber. I didn't expect toddlerhood to start at 11 months old! Good night for now!
